Leadership Team

Program Coordinator

Overview: Under the coaching of the Ministry Operations Director, the Program Coordinator oversees and manages all the summer programs including, but not limited to, youth, adult and family camps (Boys and Girls Overnight, Day Camp, Developmental Special Needs Camp, Teen Camps, Leadership Camps, Little Adventures, Senior Ventures, Home school family, etc.) at Camp Sentinel. The Program Coordinator will ensure the summer camp programs are executed to the highest quality possible in accordance with the policies and procedures of Sentinel Ministries. The Program Coordinator is responsible for the training and coaching of the Unit Leaders, Head Counselors, Program Staff, and Program Support who serve at Camp Sentinel. This individual must demonstrate a servant heart and Christ-like attitude. Applicant must support and participate in staff spiritual life activities.

Recreation Coordinator

Overview: Under the coaching of the Ministry Operation Director, the Recreation Coordinator oversees the waterfront area, challenge course activities, and all other camp recreation to ensure all areas are a safe enjoyment for the campers. The Recreation Coordinator must be currently certified in Lifeguard Training, First Aid and CPR for the Professional Rescuer. Daily responsibilities include: oversee swim lessons, free swim, boating, and other water electives, maintain water safety standards at all times, secure boats and related equipment, checking regularly to see that they are in safe operating condition, and that they are ready for immediate use in case of emergencies, train and work with camp staff to ensure safety protocols are followed at all camp activity area locations, be available to fill in as needed to lead games, ropes course activities and Bible studies. Administrative Assistant

Overview: Under the coaching of the Executive Director, the Administrate Assistant is responsible to provide a wide-range of administrative, and executive-level support and other related tasks assigned by the Executive Director. This position is responsible for providing a wide-range of comprehensive administrative, clerical and customer service support; required to interact with guests in a fast-paced environment, often under pressure, remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient, with a high level of professionalism. Expert-level written and verbal communication skills, strong time management, attention to detail, and organizational skills are crucial to this position. This individual must demonstrate a servant heart and Christ-like attitude. Applicant must support and participate in staff spiritual life activities.

Camper Relations Coordinator

Overview: Under the coaching of the Administrate Assistant, the Camper Relations Coordinator serves as an aid to the Administrate Assistant by helping in the daily operation of the camp office. Specific daily responsibilities include: Distribution and collection of staff and camper mail/email, operation of the camp store, answering the office phone and distributing messages, maintaining the camp office and camp registrations, assisting with weekly slide shows, and being available to the campers. Applicant must be current in basic computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word). This individual must demonstrate a servant heart and Christ-like attitude. Wellness Coordinator

Overview: Under the coaching of the Ministry Operations Director, the Wellness Coordinator oversees the health and wellbeing of the campers and staff members. The Wellness Coordinator must be a current New Hampshire certified RN, LPN, ARNP, Physician, or Physician Assistant. Specific daily responsibilities include: collection and distribution of medications, maintaining daily records of treatments, collection and organization of staff and camper medical forms and medicines during registration and the return of excess medications during check-out. This individual must demonstrate a servant heart and Christ-like attitude. Applicant must support and participate in staff spiritual life activities.

Teen Coordinator

Overview: Overview: Under the coaching of the Ministry Operations Director and Program Coordinator, the Teen Coordinator oversees and manages Sentinels leadership and teen programs including, but not limited to, boys and girls Teen Camps, LEADERS, Aspire, and Sentinels Mentors internship program. The Teen Coordinator is responsible for the creation and scheduling of day to day activities for the programs listed above. The Teen Coordinator will work alongside Sentinels Teen Program staff to ensure these programs are executed to the highest quality possible in accordance with the policies and procedures of Sentinel Ministries. Program Team

Unit Leader

Overview: Under the coaching of the Program Coordinator, the Unit Leader is responsible for the direct training and coaching of the program staff. Specific daily responsibilities include: be available to program staff for consultation and support, be responsible for the welfare of each child entrusted to the camp, coordinate activities and overall scheduling, making sure campers are on time for events, submit written reports if necessary, be a role model to staff and campers, and serve as a program staff in a cabin if needed. Unit leaders will continuously evaluate the Program Staff on job performance to ensure the best possible summer program. This individual must demonstrate a servant heart and Christ-like attitude. Program Staff

Overview: Under the coaching of the Unit Leader, the Program staff is responsible for the physical, emotional, spiritual, and mental wellbeing of the campers from arrival to departure. Specific daily responsibilities: be available to campers to assist in the adjustment to camp life and programs, supervise a cabin of campers, monitor camper's eating habits, serve as a leader in the overall camp program, lead Bible study, run camp activities, enforce camp safety rules, instruct campers in emergency procedures. This individual must demonstrate a servant heart and Christ-like attitude. Applicant must support and participate in staff spiritual life activities.
Age Requirement: 17 years of age

Adventure Staff

Overview: Under the coaching of the Outdoor Activities Director, the Adventure staff will ensure the challenge course elements are safe for the enjoyment of campers. Daily responsibilities include: serve as program staff in a cabin, oversee adventure activities while maintaining safety protocols and practices.
Age Requirement: 18 years of age

Head Lifeguard

Overview: Under the coaching of the Recreation Coordinator, the Head Life Guard will ensure the waterfront is safe for the enjoyment of swimmers and boaters. The waterfront staff must be currently certified in Lifeguard Training, First Aid and CPR for the Professional Rescuer. Daily responsibilities include: serve as program staff in a cabin, oversee swim lessons and free swim, boating, and other water electives, maintain water safety standards at all times. This individual must demonstrate a servant heart and Christ-like attitude. Applicant must support and participate in staff spiritual life activities.

Head Counselor

Overview: Under the coaching of the Unit Leader, the head counselor will act as resource in each unit. Specific responsibilities include: Support of the program staff in prospective unit, supervise time in cabin units, inspect cabins and bathhouse daily, perform nightly rounds to ensure lights out at appropriate time, serve as program staff in a cabin, be available to program staff for consultation and support, and be responsible for the welfare of each child entrusted to the camp. This individual must demonstrate a servant heart and Christ-like attitude. Applicant must support and participate in staff spiritual life activities .

Swing Staff

Overview: Overview: Under the coaching of the Unit Leaders, Assistant Cook, Housekeeping Crew Leader, and/or Maintenance Crew Leader, the swing staff will work in various areas of camp as needed. This job could vary between kitchen, program, Housekeeping, Maintenance, and Program Support. This individual will serve at the assigned job for the duration of the week and help out with all basic functions of the specific job. Specific daily responsibilities will vary week to week based upon job assignment. Reference: Program Staff, Kitchen Crew, Housekeeping Crew, Maintenance Crew, and Program Support. This individual must demonstrate a servant heart and Christ-like attitude. Applicant must support and participate in staff spiritual life activities.
Age Requirement: 15 years of age, 16 years preferred

Program Support

Overview: Under the coaching of the Program Coordinator, Program Support is responsible for assisting the Program Coordinator in the execution of the summer program in the highest quality possible. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Running the hospitality booth during check in, assisting with day camp check in and check out when needed, capturing high quality photos each week, and the creation of the weekly photo slideshow. Applicant must be a self-starter with excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize. This individual must demonstrate a servant heart and Christ-like attitude. Food & Hospitality Service

Food Service Coordinator

Overview: Under the coaching of the Ministry Operations Director, the Food Service Coordinator is responsible for hospitality and food service during the summer. The Food Service Coordinator oversees food service preparation and kitchen/dining hall cleanliness. Specific daily responsibilities include: developing menus to meet the special needs of our guests, maintaining the budget requirements in the ordering of food, supervision and training of the kitchen staff. The Completion of an accredited Culinary Training Program is preferred. This individual must demonstrate a servant heart and Christ-like attitude. Applicant must support and participate in staff spiritual life activities.

Assistant Cook

Overview: Under the coaching of the Food Service Coordinator, the Assistant Cook is responsible for hospitality and food service during the summer. The Assistant Cook helps with menu creation, food service preparation, and kitchen/dining hall cleanliness. Specific daily responsibilities include: Overseeing the Kitchen crew to ensure all protocols are followed during the preparations of meats, vegetables, salads and other foods. This individual must demonstrate a servant heart and Christ-like attitude. Applicant must support and participate in staff spiritual life activities.

"K" Crew

Overview: Under the coaching of the Food Service Coordinator and Assistant Cook, the Kitchen Crew prepares, serves and cleans up meals served to guests. Specific daily responsibilities include: food preparation, food service, kitchen and dining hall clean up, and washing dishes. All in accordance with NH state health code procedures and regulations. This individual must demonstrate a servant heart and Christ-like attitude. Applicant must support and participate in staff spiritual life activities.

Buildings and Grounds

Facilities Coordinator

Overview: The primary functions of the facilities coordinator are to supervise the maintenance and housekeeping crew leaders, and run the day to day facility operations. Another function of the facilities coordinator is to ensure that the facility is always clean, safe and welcoming. The facilities coordinator will also be responsible for performing frequent inspections of the campus, and the training of the maintenance and housekeeping crews. When the facilities coordinator is not performing the administrative portion of the job, they will be working alongside the maintenance crew providing a wide variety of services as needed and/or assigned. This individual must demonstrate a servant heart and Christ-like attitude. Applicant must support and participate in staff spiritual life activities.

Maintenance Crew Leader

Overview: Under the coaching of the Facilities Coordinator, the primary function of the maintenance crew leader is to supervise the maintenance crew. Working with the maintenance coordinator, the leader is also responsible for ensuring that the facility is always clean, safe and welcoming. The maintenance crew leader will also be working alongside the crew to provide maintenance services as needed and/or assigned and assisting in a wide variety of maintenance activities. These activities include but are not limited to; addressing immediate operational and/or safety concerns; assisting skilled trades; performing preventative maintenance tasks; operational maintenance; and assisting housekeeping as needed. This individual must demonstrate a servant heart and Christ-like attitude. Applicant must support and participate in staff spiritual life activities.

Maintenance Crew

Overview: Under the coaching of the Maintenance Crew Leader, the primary functions of the maintenance crew are to provide maintenance services as needed and/or assigned; assisting in a wide variety of maintenance activities; addressing immediate operational and/or safety concerns; assisting skilled trades; performs preventative maintenance tasks; operational maintenance; and assisting housekeeping as needed. This individual must demonstrate a servant heart and Christ-like attitude. Applicant must support and participate in staff spiritual life activities.
Age Requirement: 16 years of age

Housekeeping Crew Leader

Overview: Under the coaching of the Facilities Coordinator, the primary function of the housekeeping crew leader is to supervise the housekeeping crew. Other functions are to perform constant sanitary inspections of the facility and the training of the crew. The crew leader will also be working side by side the crew cleaning; bathrooms, bath houses, guest rooms, cabins, meeting spaces, common areas and grounds. This individual must demonstrate a servant heart and Christ-like attitude. Applicant must support and participate in staff spiritual life activities.

Housekeeping Crew

Overview: Under the coaching of the Housekeeping Crew Leader, the primary function of the housekeeping crew is to maintain the sanitation of the entire facility. This includes but is not limited to general and project cleaning of; bathrooms, bath houses, guest rooms, cabins, meeting spaces, common areas and grounds. This individual must demonstrate a servant heart and Christ-like attitude. Applicant must support and participate in staff spiritual life activities.
