Featured Hikes

Waterfall

A quick and easy hike to a nice stream. 1.5-2 hours round trip Begin at the main lodge. Walk down the road to the Sentinel Pines Family Campground. Follow the second road on the left, through the campground and into Macduffee's field. Walk through Macduffee's field. At the end of Macduffee's field, turn left onto the road. Walk until you come to an intersection with a driveway straight ahead. The road you are on goes to the left, and Macduffee's road begins to the right. Turn right onto Macduffee Road. Follow Macduffee Road until you come to a white house on the right (the first house on the right). Across from that road, take a left onto a logging track. Follow that road until you come to an abandoned shack. Take the right-most path at the abandoned shack. Continue past the trail to Blueberry. After you pass the trailhead, bear right across the river. Turn to your left and follow the river up to a very steep hill. At the top of the hill, there is a very small trail and clearing to the left, which is at the top of the waterfall.

Three Pools

Like Waterfall, but with three pools instead of a waterfall. 1.5-2 hours round trip Begin at the main lodge. Walk down the road to the Sentinel Pines Family Campground. Follow the second road on the left, through the campground and into Macduffee's field. Walk through Macduffee's field. At the end of Macduffee's field, turn left onto the road. Walk past Canaan Valley Farm Take a right onto Macduffee Road Continue straight up Macduffee Road until you come to a large rock. The trail/road goes up a steep hill to the right. The Three Pools will be on the left of the trail/road, down a steep incline from the road

Flagg

A more difficult hike with nearly 360 views of the lakes region 4+ hours round trip Begin at the main lodge. Walk down the road to the Sentinel Pines Family Campground. Follow the second road on the left, through the campground and into Macduffee's field. Walk through Macduffee's field. At the end of Macduffee's field, turn right onto the road. Go through the main camp of Merrowvista, past the bell, barn, wash house, and yurt until you arrive at the trail head for Mt. Flagg. Follow the yellow trail markers to the halfway house, take a break if you'd like, then continue to the top of the mountain, and enjoy the view!

Blueberry

A relatively short-but-steep hike to a great view of Dan Hole Pond 2-3 hours round trip. Begin at the main lodge. Walk down the road to the Sentinel Pines Family Campground. Follow the second road on the left, through the campground and into Macduffee's field. Walk through Macduffee's field. At the end of Macduffee's field, turn left onto the road. Walk until you come to an intersection with a driveway straight ahead. The road you are on goes to the left, and Macduffee's road begins to the right. Turn right onto Macduffee Road. Follow Macduffee Road until you come to a white house on the right (the first house on the right). Across from that road, take a left onto a logging track. Follow that road until you come to an abandoned shack. Take the right-most path at the abandoned shack.

Ledges

For an easy hike and very rewarding view, try a hike to "The Ledges". The trailhead for this is located approx. 500 yards back towards the main road. You can find a blue sign on the left side of the road. This hike is uphill all the way to, and downhill all the way back.
